About Us

Alastair Wade our managing director, he formed Alastair Wade Optometrists in 2004. However the business itself was over 50 years old, and previously traded under the name of Steven and Wade. We currently have four practices in Durham, Lanchester, Prudhoe and Ryton.

Since 2004 we have invested heavily in new equipment, all of which benefits our patients. We believe in providing our patients the highest standard of eye care availible. As well as this we only stock quality frames that are durable, stylish yet affordable.

The company is a family run business, our managing director is Alastair, our other director and company secretary, is Debbie Wade (Alastair's wife).
